All AFTRA Tri-State Union members in good standing will receive a username and password via email for Tier 1 access after the local union office has entered them into the system. Tier 1 access provides members the ability to display a photograph and provide basic Specialty, Key Talent, Resume, and Background information about them.

An additional level of representation, Tier 2, is provided for a nominal fee of $30.00 per year. Tier 2 provides the ability to upload multiple audio and video demo reels that showcase your individual talents and capabilities.

Once you have your username and password, you may access http://www.trisateaftra.com/ log into the system by clicking on the "Log-In" button located on the top right hand corner of the website. The administrative page for Tier 1 and Tier 2 talent will be the same with the single exception being that Tier 2 talent will have the ability to upload and update as needed and at anytime, multiple audio and video demo reels to their profile page.

After logging into your administrative page, you will notice your name on the top of the page followed a "Website - http://" field. This field allows members that have their own personal websites to enter the URL or "www" address for that website. If you have another web presence on an agent or representative's site, you can enter this web address in the provided field. You are not required to enter an address into this field.

Next, notice a space for indicating "Specialties" - either On-Camera or Voice. Place a checkmark for the specialties that pertain to you and your talents.

In the following fields, note the ability to check-off specific "Key Talents", Once again, place a checkmark next to the talents that pertain to you.

The next section outlines specific Profile information in drop down boxes this includes Age, Height, Weight, Hair Color, etc. Please answer these questions accurately.

Following the profile is a text field reserved for Agent Information. If you have representation by an Agent or other Representative, place their Name, Company Name, and Telephone Number in the space provided. AFTRA Tri-State urges members to place their franchised agent's information in this space.

The section entitled "Background" is a text box that offers you an opportunity to provide some basic information about yourself, background, training, etc.

Immediately following this is another text field called "Special Talents." Use this section to provide detailed information about any specific "unique" talents that you might possess. Such as: Character Voices, Impersonations, Dialects/Accents, type of vocal quality, etc.

Below the Special Talents section is where you will upload your photo. Select the photograph you want displayed and save it as a JPEG file to your computer desktop. The JPEG photo should be 276 Pixels wide by 359 Pixels tall and at a image resolution no higher than 72 dpi.

To upload the image, click the browse button and find your desktop and the image you saved. Highlight this image, and click the "open" button. This will upload the image into the database. Name the file with your name.

Member's resumes must be saved as a PDF file to their computer desktop. The upload for the resume is exactly the same as the upload for the large image. Click on the browse button, find your PDF resume on your desktop, highlight it, and then click the open button. This will upload the PDF into your profile page. If you cannot convert your resume to a PDF, contact the AFTRA Tri-State office for assistance.

Only Tier 2 Talent are capable of uploading an additional three photographs of themselves. The photos should be saved in the same file dimensions and uploaded the same as the large image, as indicated above.

Tier 2 talent also have the opportunity to upload up to 3 Audio and 3 Video demo reels.

Your video reel must be converted from Video format into a QuickTime movie that is 320 pixels wide by 240 pixels tall and be no longer than 60 seconds. The movie should play no more than 15 frames per second (15 FPS) and be encoded utilizing the Sorenson codec. The video should also be capable of displaying millions of colors and optimized for Internet streaming utilizing a media cleaner. The total video file upload cannot exceed 2 MB in file size.

Name this file a single descriptive word such as Commercial, Industrial, Film-TV, Series, etc., since what you name the file will be displayed underneath the demo reel when the file is upload. Click on the browse button, find your video demo on your desktop, highlight it, and then click the open button. This will upload the video demo reel into your profile page.

Your audio demo reel must be converted to MP3 files that are 98-128 kbps at 22.5-44.1 kHz and be no longer than :60 seconds in length. Name this file a single descriptive word such as Industrial, Commercial, Narration, etc., and save it to your desktop. Click on the browse button, find your audio demo on your desktop, highlight it, and then click the open button. This will upload the audio demo reel into your profile page. The total audio file upload cannot exceed 2 MB in file size.

The local union office can recommend production facilities for converting demo reels.

Once all of the above steps have been performed, please click the update button on the bottom of the page to save all changes. Now, click the "Visit Site" link on the upper left-hand side of the page to view the information in a web-based format. Your username and password will always work, and we encourage members to keep their profile page up-to-date.

Resume: Any document saved as a PDF file can be uploaded to the website.

In any file naming, do not use any symbols or slashes. The system will not allow you to upload these files.
